Dear Feminists: Grab your presidential kneepads. Safe Spaces don’t exist in a Clinton Whitehouse

Losers lose, winners win

Cheaters cheat, and sinners sin.

Dreamers dream, criers cry;

Fools believe and Liars Lie.

Lee Ann Womack “Liars Lie”

The year was 1998, and I can recall watching the Lewinsky scandal unfold, like it was yesterday. I grew up with Monica–not literally, but figuratively, and I remember my shock, disappointment and my feelings of betrayal when I heard the breaking news. I was paying more attention to politics at that time, and I remember thinking that the president took advantage of this girl.  Bill knew full well that he could take advantage of young women in his Democrat circles as he had many years of experience. Denying any and all accusations was a tried and true game plan, for he had already denied and lied about his encounters with Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers, and he did so with Hillary’s guidance and assistance.

Cheaters cheat and sinners sin.

Unknown to me at that time were the astounding number of women who had accused him of sexual harassment, intimidation, assault, and extra-marital affairs throughout his adult life and while serving in public office.  (This information has always been ignored or downplayed by the MSM, judging from this recent reaction of a female CNN anchor).  While I waited for an apology or a reaction to the Lewinsky scandal, the first couple were busy building their War Room.  This investigative outfit was implemented to intimidate, discredit, smear, humiliate, and target the numerous “bimbo eruptions” that were getting in the way of their “tireless work on behalf of the American people.” The Clinton’s were not the ones to be humiliated by Bill’s disrespectful, sexually violent appetite; for when they finally responded to the Lewinsky Scandal, there were no public apologies.  They simply lied.

President Clinton repeatedly denied that he had sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, “that woman.” Hillary referred to Monica as a “crazed loony toon.” On Meet the Press, James Carville referred to Paula Jones as trailer trash in response to her sexual harassment lawsuit against President Clinton: “Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park and you never know what you’ll find.”  The Blame the Victim narrative was in full, southern swing.  Sidney Blumenthal was hired by the first couple to orchestrate an attack on Kathleen Wiley.  In the penultimate display of abusive power and malice, Gennifer Flowers, Liz Ward Gracen, Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick were audited by the IRS. When the blue dress finally appeared, we had a national argument over the definition of the word “is” instead of a national dialogue about the perverted and sexually abusive behavior of a married and seated president.  The stain remains not only on the blue dress, but on the many feminists and democrats who ignored, and who continue to ignore, this historical moral depravity, criminal, unethical, and dishonorable behavior.

As a young woman, I found myself asking, where is NOW, now? Where are the feminists who are supposed to speak out against this vile and inappropriate behavior? Thankfully, back in April of 1998, Marjorie Williams, a liberal feminist, shared in my shock and awe, and gave us this historical perspective of the 90’s Feminist, in a piece entitled, Lowering the Bar. Clinton and Women:

See no evil … “It will be a great pity if the Democratic Party is damaged by this,” the feminist writer Anne Roiphe told me. “That’s been my response from the very beginning—I just wanted to close my eyes, and wished it would go away.”

Hear no evil … “We do not know what happened in the Lewinsky case,” said Kathy Rodgers, executive director of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund. “The only thing that is clear is that the facts are not clear.

Speak no evil … “We’re trying to think of the bigger picture, think about what’s best for women,” said Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority Foundation.

But progressives are the champions of progress, so let’s look at the progress made, in recent years, on behalf of rising feminists who are following their progressive matriarchs and patriarchs.  These hashtag-happy, feminist harpies dominated the headlines with accusations of rape on our college campuses, infamously illustrated by “rape survivor” Emma, who shlepped a mattress on her back throughout the campus of Columbia University; and by Rolling Stone, who recklessly reported on the gang rape of “Jackie” at UVA.  Feminists, pundits, politicos, and the President rushed into a national dialogue about a RAPE CULTURE responsible for terrorizing women on our college campuses.  Prior to any investigation, and based on ONE  bogus study, feminists strapped mattresses to their back in solidarity, and Zerlina Maxwell suggested that men needed to be taught “not to rape.”   When Emma and Jackie were proven to be frauds, no apologies were given; no one was fired; and the micro-aggressed feminists had secured safe spaces in order to see, hear and speak no evil–before the facts were clear or presented.

Fools believe and Liars Lie.

President Obama tried to fix this RAPE CULTURE through executive decree (shocker) by signing an expansion of Title IX in 2014.  At this televised signing, he blamed our RAPE CULTURE on America:  To make real progress against sexual assault, American culture must change. Young men need to recognize sexual violence and be outraged by it.”

According to their progressive counterparts, we have a “proven” rape culture now in America. President Obama wants “every young man in America to feel some strong peer pressure in terms of how they are supposed to behave and treat women.”  These same words could be directed at Hillary Clinton, her husband, and her supporters–who had no problem in the 90’s publicly denigrating and smearing his multiple accusers and victims, but who now want us to believe that every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed and supported.

An 18 year old Bill Clinton couldn’t survive one year at Oberlin, UVA, Brown, or Columbia in these expanded, Title IX times.  In fact, his very behavior, according to Obama, contributed to the rape culture that is terrorizing this next generation of mattress-clad, young women.  Bill Clinton’s game may be showing signs of age, but his past IS fair game as his appetite for women remains seemingly strong. Would another Clinton smear campaign and enemies list be crafted in this modern day and age? We may find out.

My grandfather always said, that if you don’t know your history, you don’t know where you are headed. Are we raising our female leaders of tomorrow to live on their knees, like the feminist fools of yesterday? While progressive celebrities and feminist champions are asking young women to #StandWithHillary, they are also telling these girls to kneel for Bill. Dignity is obviously not making a comeback in the Hillary Squad.

There weren’t any safe spaces in the 90s for the many, many woman wronged by Bill and Hillary Clinton. So why are the progressives demanding a safe space for the Clinton’s by challenging those who believe that the Clinton history is fair game? Bill’s history is Hillary’s history, and their coordination and cover-up of these attacks are part of our historical record.  The recounting of these truths and facts do not need prior approval from the criers, cheaters, sinners, fools and liars.

This girl wasn’t raised to live on her knees. I was raised in a time when character was king, so I will ignore the hypocrites and take a pass on the presidential kneepads. But don’t worry Hillarites, if there aren’t enough kneepads to go around, you can always follow Bill’s advice and “put some ice on that.

Losers lose and winners win, and the winners are always the last ones standing.

If you believe it’s time for a woman to be president, you can’t possibly believe that Hillary Clinton is that woman. Because only a die-hard 80’s style feminist could believe that gender should be the determining factor in choosing our next president. But if that’s how you think, then you are looking for a strong woman, a woman of character, a woman of integrity who can stand up to men, demand respect, show that she’s just as good as any man. Unfortunately, that’s not Hillary. Hillary got dirt and disrespect shoveled on her by her cheating and lying husband, but she not only stood by her man, she covered for him. She enabled him by heading up the bimbo task force. She stood by him by smearing the women who called him out on his sexual predator behavior, calling them trailer trash and sluts. This is not the work of a feminist icon. Nor is she an accomplished professional whom we can respect for her outstanding track record. She has held several important jobs, but what can she claim as actual accomplishments? Sponsoring bills as a senator? No, none of note. Her distinguished work heading Obama’s foreign policy, which has produced inarguably disastrous results? And of course there’s the private email scandal, which somehow she thought she was going to get away with – does she think we’re all really that stupid? Or the Clinton Foundation influence peddling operation – again, are we so stupid we can’t see through that? By all means, let’s find an accomplished woman to run for president. But promoting Hillary, a woman of low integrity, poor judgment, and scant actual accomplishment? She would be an embarrassment as first woman president, elected solely on the basis of her gender. And that’s anti-feminist.
